Mike's Message

I have sincerely enjoyed serving in the Georgia General Assembly, more specifically in the House of Representatives. As I prepare to leave the House of Representatives and hopefully join with new colleagues in the State Senate, I will continue to build on the invaluable experiences and relationships forged in the House. Being in the House has afforded me tremendous opportunities to learn the inter-workings of our government from an up close and personal prospective.  I thank you for this opportunity.

I have forged what I believe to be life-long relationships with colleagues both Democrat and Republican, conservative, moderate and liberal; rural, urban and suburban from across this great State and Nation.

I have made a personal and professional commitment to work to pass and support meaningful legislation that focus on the issues that  best serve and represent my constituents, county and the State of Georgia regardless to political party of origin. I believe I have served with honor, passion, zeal and courage and vision.

Whether sponsoring enabling legislation or commending local constituents and organizations it continues be my honor to serve. My message continues to be a message deeply rooted in the ideology of unity, diversity and inclusion.

I believe that in spite of the obvious differences in the peoples and mindsets in our district; there exist commonalities when it comes to vision. I believe that all of the citizens of the great 76th District and the 44th Senate District are united in the visions and efforts to bring better jobs, safer neighborhoods, smart growth, quality education and enhanced quality of life to our communities.

As your state legislator, I re-commit to supporting and introducing legislation in the State Senate that gives Hope and Opportunity to all Georgians.  I am committed to balancing community social needs with the needs of our business community and economic development. Both are extremely important to our future and the future of our counties.

As a resident of Clayton County and former resident of Henry County, I will be diligent in continuing my efforts to bridge the gaps and improving relationships between citizens, business, leaders and government.

I believe we must find a way to embrace the changing demographics, leaders, and visions while preserving the labor, commitment and accomplishments of those who came before us.

I have and continue to work hard to create an atmosphere of comrade’ and cohesiveness in our communities.

I look forward to serving you as the next  State Senator  for District 44. I am committed and dedicated with documented successes and I am “A Proven Leader”.
